A message from GEIB

In order to support the scientific discussion at national and international level on the problem of biological invasions and raise the profile of the issue in both academic and policy arena, the GEIB Grupo Especialista en Invasiones Biológicas is pleased to announce “The week of Biological Invasions”.

Two conferences on invasive alien species will be held in Pontevedra (Spain)
The decision of convening EEI 2012 and NEOBIOTA 2012 - when the European Commission set combating invasive alien species as a target of the Europe 2020 strategy - represents the determination of the scientific community and conferences to respond to the global need to halt the increasing threats posed by invasive alien species. 

Un mensaje desde el GEIB

Con el objetivo de apoyar la discusión científica a nivel nacional e internacional sobre el problema de las invasiones biológicas y elevar el perfil de la cuestión al área  académica y política, el GEIB Grupo Especialista en invasiones Biológicas se complace en anunciar "La semana de las invasiones biológicas".

Dos congresos se celebrarán en Pontevedra (España).
La decisión de convocar EEI 2012 y NEOBIOTA 2012 - cuando la Comisión Europea ha establecido la lucha contra las especies exóticas invasoras como un objetivo de la estrategia europea para 2020 - representa la determinación de la comunidad científica y los congresos de responder a la necesidad global de hacer frente a la creciente amenaza de las especies exóticas invasoras.
